Getting Others To Join The Cause
An important aspect of living out the his heart my voice movement is finding like minded individuals who are compassionate and believe in empowering the poor to overcome their circumstances. These individuals, who still have an often idealistic and hopeful view of the world around them, are the people who could be the greatest change in the lives of others. We must remain and maintain a gospel focused on others.

Who are these people?
FRIENDS. We make friends everywhere we go, and some friends join us in our conversations about how to help others. A friend is a powerful ally. Real and lasting change happens in the world around us when our friends believe in us and join us in what we're doing.
Having friends in every sphere of influence in life is healthy for personal relationship growth and essential for healthy organization growth.
Finding Strengths in Others
Some people we meet have already the dreams and skills that it takes to accomplish so much. We don't want to act like the world and just exploit their strengths, but rather get behind them so as to empower them to move forward in accomplishing these dreams.
Compassion Empowered
Many friends we make are already compassionate and desiring to help others, but they themselves may not feel empowered to help others. In this way we are not getting others to join us, but we are joining them and encouraging them. One friend, Jurn Kamami wrote an article describing this sentiment how he was empowered to act on his desire and compassion towards others.
"I have always wanted to do something about the suffering
and shame of the poor in this town, but I thought I needed to be
very rich to share whatever I had."
The Poor Joining Us
When our friends, who live in slums, stop looking at their own needs and struggles and begin to look at the needs of others and how they can help, an amazing thing happens. They not only focus on empowering and blessing others, but they themselves find a sense of empowerment.
Poverty is most often just a mindset. Sometimes a key for someone overcoming is in changing the way they see helping others.

Let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
